Thanksgiving football

So when is the NFL going to take away Detroit's automatic Thanksgiving Day game? You would think the NFL would want a game that would potentially draw more viewers.

    Everyone has the day off, the team doesn't matter. The game will be on in most football households even if it were the Browns & Lions.

    For fantasy purposes, it doesn't get any better than watching your players go up against DET. That alone draws viewers.

    The game is just background noise to all of the confusion surrounding most Thanksgiving dinners, an extra turkey
    on TV shouldn't really matter, later in the day you have the Cowboys playing someone and then another game
    on the NFL network in the evening.

    Detroit is going to put up a fight vs Green Bay.... They might even upset GB and knock em out of the playoffs...

    The NFL should institute the Flex Schedule thing they do later in the season for Thanksgiving. Can you imagine the ratings if they bumped up the Saints/Patriots game to Thanksgiving Day? But I guess they'll get those ratings come Monday night anyway.
