Are there some coins for which ebay/internet is the only or primary market?

This is both an offshoot of another thread (a forum member getting low offers for his 2009 UHR First Strike PCGS MS-70) and my own obsession with the 2008-W $10 burnished. Both coins seem to have a stronger market on ebay and, more generally, the internet, than they do at coin shops, coin shows, or even coin retailers.
While the UHR is ubiqitous on the internet, other than on the BST and on ebay, I could not find a single example of the 2008-W $10 offered elsewhere.
Perhaps I have overlooked some of the possible sellers of both.
