US bill missing In God we trust Help

i have not seen this bill personally, hence why there are no pics. a fellowwhom ownes it states it is missing the in God we trust. Has anyone heard of this error? If so, how common, or uncommon is it

Yes, there is a series of atheist dollars. It was intentional and is not an error. Perhaps
if you look here. In 1935 they printed dollars with and without "In God We Trust".

edited to clearify. Yes, the 1935 bill date is the series date and not necessarily when the bill was printed.

The motto was added in the 1950s; bills printed prior to that time do not carry the motto.

The series number on the bill is not the date it was produced. You can find all the info you might want on the internet.

Although IN GOD WE TRUST was added to the series 1957 notes in 1957, non IGWT notes were printed until after 1-30-1961. Dillon - Smith term of office was 1-30-1961 until 4-13-1962. They first issued series 1935 G one dollar notes without the motto and 1957 A with the motto. Later 1935 G series had the motto added to match the 1957 series.

Fowler - Granahan 4-1-1965 to 10-13-1966 issued 1950 E FRN's without IGWT at the same time they issued many more 1963 A notes..
