A novel trade at the Santa Clara show

I always bring coins to sell or use for upgrades.
Glenn Holsonbake took my 1831 CBH toward a sweet 1826. Andy Skrabalak gave me a very nice trade-in on a 65RB S-VDB toward an awesome 65RD. I wanted a '27 MS65 Peace $1 Frank Laiacona had. So I gave him my 64, some cash, and a MacBook. His daughter squealed with delight.
Anyone else ever trade-in something other than coins or bullion?
Lance.

p.s. I heard that jelly donuts are known as "bear bucks"
Also, I wound up with several PMG coupons from Numismaquest trivia on the NGC boards, and traded those for coins.
I'm curious about the MacBook - was it your computer, and you just gave it away?

I'm a Windows defector. I recently upgraded the MacBook to a MacBook Air. I reformatted the MacBook and brought it with me, hoping to talk an old dealer friend -- who knows nothing about computers -- into a simple coin trade.
He laughed and smiled and said "Oh no...ha, ha...I wouldn't know what to do with it."
"My 72 yr old mother-in-law said the same thing and now she has 2 computers and we're in touch every day," I said.
"Very nice of you but I guess I'm just stuck in my ways."
Kinda sad, I thought. I've shown him things on a computer in the past and he was fascinated. He's 77 and grew up when computers were only used by applied math scientists.

And, I know what you mean. My 81-year-old grandmother just got a computer a few years ago, and she uses it for email and bible study and such. But my grandfather, 84, will have nothing to do with it. He doesn't even want to look at it!

<< <i>Gees Lance, I wish I had something to trade you for the MacBook. I'm still using a 10 year old G4 PowerBook.
Darn. I wish I knew. It's been sitting in a cabinet since June when my wife surprised me with a b-day present.
Too bad we can't sell non-coin stuff on BST. I guess it would get out of hand, huh?
