I recently sold a common-date MS-63 Morgan dollar in a doily holder for around $110.00...

It depends on the coin. The higher value the coin, the less the premium. A "common" coin in a doily holder starts at around $50.

Imo the best way to answer this question is to ask yourself, how much of a prem would you pay baised on the coin not the holder. image I have a collection of older holder(see sig) but I dont pay prems for the holder, only if the coin is premium for the assigned grade.

If the coin isn't "there" and you put too much of a premium because of the holder, get ready to have unsold coins and eat the fees.

I've bought doily coins and paid a small premium (merc and such). If the coin were crap, it would have gone back or I wouldn't have bid in the first place.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

But consider the coin its much nicer than MS63, a top end 64 shot at 65. And a VAM collector may pay a prem for the vam and not the holder.
