Numismatic Christmas Gifts

I have traditionally given out numismatic stocking stuffers to my family for Christmas -- something relatively cheap, anywhere up to $15 or so. Everyone in the family has either collected at some point or at least has a clue about coins, which helps (and also partially explains why I'm a lifer image). Past gifts have included, among other things:

•100 year old year sets
•Maria Theresa Talers
•Hammered 16th-17th century Madonna and Child coins
•Proof Sets
•Notgeld
•Silver American Eagles
•Improvised Euro Sets (from vacation change)

What would be a good, reasonably priced numismatic stocking stuffer, which combines the "Cool!" factor with affordability?
Sincerely,

Stewart Huckaby

    Stewart,

I kinda like older US coins that are cheap.. I can think of Walkers, SLQs, and maybe even cheap circ Peace/Morgans (Although with Silver prices......)

    Circ Barbers, IHCs, etc..etc

Been there, done those, as well. Walkers are particularly cool because of the great design. Thanks!

They are not numismatics item, but this year I bought few Santa Silver Bars (I think SilverTowne sells them).
They are nice, have the year 2009 in the back and can be engraved.
For my male relavites, I will go with ASEs or the frosted Harris holder with the 4 new Lincolns designs.

Nothing stuffs a sock like V nickels, buffalo nickels, Indian Head cents and Mercury dimes. Gift wrapped Whitman folders take up little space under a tree or on a bookshelf.

It gives a kid gratification and a sense of accomplishment to find a spot for every coin.

For this year I have only two things on my Christmas want list: Coins and NASCAR trading cards. It's easier to buy the latter then the former, as the latter can be sourced locally, where the coins have to be mail ordered. I expect to get a selection of both, actually. I was mentioning to my mom that I wanted to buy another bulk lot of world coins and she said that I shouldn't do that now, Christmas is coming image
