DEALERS - PLEASE READ

nencoinnencoin Posts: 1,277 ✭✭✭✭
Someone by the name of David Todd is trying to pay for coins with checks from closed accounts. He beat us last year and amazingly he is trying it again. Last year when he got us he went by the name of David Young. He also went by Deltaland Metals. Now he is David Todd and David's Coins.

His previous addresses were:

PO Box 163
Marked Tree, AR 72365

331 Riverside
Lepanto, AR 72354

7605 Hwy. 70
Unit 107-122
Bartlett, TN 38133

Now he's using:

1204 Houston Levee Rd.
Ste. 105-101
Cordova, TN 38018

The above address is a Mailboxes, etc. type of location. I know of at least one other dealer on these boards that he tried to rip off last year. If you get any orders from this guy, DO NOT SHIP!

Good warning, but, in the BOLDED area, don't you mean that HE tried to rip off and not the other way around? image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

that guy must be a pro at bouncing checks based on all his addresses and names!!

"“Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither.“(Benjamin Franklin)

DOH. Correction made...thanks for the heads up. Also posted on CCE.

  • Many Dealers already know about this guy and have refused to accept checks for quite some time. Usually he sells to one Dealer and accepts their check with the payee left blank. Then when he buys coins, he uses the other Dealer's check. He'll put together 3 or 4 checks and some cash, to come up with the buy price. Let's just say he's better at cherry pickin coins and reselling at shows, than running a checking account.

Chris, that sure sounds like it might be the same guy I had trouble with last year by the name of Todd Young. probably not coincidentally, he had lived in Arkansas and Tennessee. And he would have kept coins I had shipped to him, had I not gotten a detective to talk to him and scare him.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

Who the heck wants to deal with you?

First, you criticize people who don't pay retail.
Then you criticize Mark Feld and Laura.
    Then you say this.

Or was it in some other order? I can't remember, but you have got to be the most arrogant coin person, and one who obviously doesn't sell large money items at shows.
