Question about Grove book/classification

Can anybody shed some light on the Grove system of classification for medals? Is there a primary reference book that is available covering all the classifications? Does the guide cover mintages/strikes and prices? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Assuming you're referring to Frank Grove's 'Medals of Mexico', I've attached the preface and a sample page from Vol2(1972). This may have some of the classification info you need.
No prices with my used copy of Vol2, but the preface refers to a price sheet in Vol1. Some listings include mintages.
