Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
That's simple, sit down and shut up!.......... just kidding!
How do you advance in status?
Rule #1 ...There is no status without survival...in order to survive here you need a couple of things, # 1 IMO is a thick skin, that will get you through your first couple weeks, #2 Is a genuine appreciation of coins and learning about coins, (this will get you through all of the stupid questions that you will ask) #3 Is a little "brown nosing" like ....wow that"s a beauty or yeah .......sweet coin....or .. whether your monitor is turned on or not.... #4 Read & memorize something about a certain coin type, error vam, variety etc. save it for that special moment.. .then use it to answer a question from the guy 6 months from now who is asking a similar question to what you are asking now....which btw I think is a great question

How do you advance in status?
That's simple, sit down and shut up!..........
How do you advance in status?
Rule #1 ...There is no status without survival...in order to survive here you need a couple of things, # 1 IMO is a thick skin, that will get you through your first couple weeks,
#2 Is a genuine appreciation of coins and learning about coins, (this will get you through all of the stupid questions that you will ask)
#3 Is a little "brown nosing" like ....wow that"s a beauty or yeah .......sweet coin....or ..
#4 Read & memorize something about a certain coin type, error vam, variety etc. save it for that special moment..
.then use it to answer a question from the guy 6 months from now who is asking a similar question to what you are asking now....which btw I think is a great question
