Lincoln Guys... Early Date "P" Mints in AU - Bid/Ask

Greysheet ask for a 1913 in AU is $22 and about $56 for a 1915.

What would a B&M dealer pay for either one of these if you wanted to sell? Maybe $10, $15 for both?

Curious to know what the Lincoln Guys think as I am putting a high-grade circ set together (1909-1933) and in reality can never see recouping the price of early date P mints in lightly circulated condition (AU). The dollar amounts are small and I don't really care about recouping the money as I enjoy the collecting, but the thought did cross my mind.

I don't know, but you can always put up a good image and send me a PM if you're thinking about selling. I collect in that space and if something represented a nice upgrade for me, I'd definitely be a potential buyer. image

The 1915 is actually tougher than most think. If you have them, consider offering them on the BST FORUM.

I have found that dealers will go 60-65% back of sheet on these if problem free.
  • Lincoln branch mint semi-keys in AU remain strong on EBay, but less so for the P mints. As someone else said, if you have an AU 1915, you should think about BST right here. In fact, that's probably true for the 1909 through the 1915.

Personally, I would be pretty disappointed with 60 or 65 percent of Grey Sheet bid for the later ones. I'd rather hold 'em than sell 'em at that price.

I did not say I liked it. It is just what they will offer locally (Gulf Coast). I say BST then eBay if no takers.

I see the problem being agreeing on the grade, more than price
