Not much buying or selling going on here other than junk or 90%?

Has anyone noticed there has not been alot of buy/sell activity on the BST board or here for other than 90% that seems to shaking loose.. Not many if any AGE's APE's, ASE's even maples and other bullion [not numismatic] coins to be traded or even offered very lately. I'd say the last 3-4 weeks...What say you?

My impression is that even the 90% offered has tapered off significantly. Not talking small lots as there appear to plenty of those but rather bigger lots say $1000 and up have virtually disappeared.

I actually got 90% under melt on ebay today...Not much, but a few ounces and I was shocked since silver was on the rise during the afternoon too.

Yeah, I did pretty good earlier this week on Ebay. I got 5 1964 halves for just over $28. Not a HUGE savings but I was pleased.

I'd say even the BST for Coins has been slow too...

I had a bunch of silver bullion and 90% at a local show I did last weekend. Not only did I not sell any retail, I didnt even have a retail inquiry.

Same time last year I was sold out in the first hour.

Collector coins moved as usual, but was ZERO interest in bullion at the retail level.

I'll tell ya what I say. You have to be selling the flavor of the day or sell at melt to move just about anything lately. I've had no bites on some decent coins at slightly more than I can sell them to a local dealer. This really is nothing new, I've deleted from the BST in the past and taken the items to this dealer. I've notice other sellers selling at a minimal increase over melt only to see them not ttt their thread. I assume they did the same and sold local.
