NEWP... Dino-Lite AM411T - some VAM Hot 50s!

Got my new Dino-Lite AM411T Digital Microscope today.! Took a few quick images of two Hot 50 Vams (1891-O Morgan VAM 1B - pitted reverse and 1926-S Peace VAM 4 or 4B? - Extra Berry) and a not-Hot 50 1923 Peace VAM 1I - die gouge thru E in LIBERTY.

  • Nice pictures! Have these things gone down in price a little bit or no? I made the mistake of buying a 211 model a few months back because the price was right but the quality wasn't. Sooner or later I'd like to pick up a newer model for obvious reasons.

    That's where I bought mine Steve! I found the prices were pretty much the same everywhere. The flexible mount is tough to focus (too shaky) and unfortunately the mounting adapter is not compatible with my copy stand.

    Allegedly you should be able to focus up to 230x, but so far I can't get a focus and greater than 50x.

    It does do close-up images alot better than my dSLR, 55mm lens.

    I paid $343 delivered for the Camera and Stand. I think Mohawk Medical offered $20 off on the stand.

    Does your model have a light diffuser like the Dino-Lite Pro AM411TV2 has?

    No it does not. But with the accompanying software you can turn the lights off if you wish to use your own preferred lighting.
