I am a newcomer to the dark side (enlightened, maybe??) and I have decided to go in feet-first, so I sent in 25 coins ( most ever by me!), and I am delighted with the results overall! I owe this to my father-in-law, who last year gave me a 1952 So. African crown in prooflike, and this got me started on world coins!
I feel there is great promise in British coinage; english-language, potential (key word!) world-wide collector base (GB, NZ, SA, AU).
The only "disappointments" here were the NZ coppers, as I thought they would all cameo, and the Florin, but that one was borderline. The highlights are the 1/3 farthings that I found in a hobby shop on vacation, and the DC 1953 NZ Coronation Crowns......verrrry rare!!

I smiled when I read your comment about the "Coronation" pieces.
As an example of bad priorities and gross stupidity, I was in London for Elizabeth's coronation affair. Stationed there
with the Air Force at the RAF base in Bushy Park. I had absolutely no interest in coinage at the time except for the
Military notes we were paid with which usually went to the dog tracks.
Our response to the big affair was to have way too many at the local pubs, join a conga line in
Trafalgar Square and end up getting snapped off into the fountain at the base of the Nelson statue.
Young and foolish doesn't even BEGIN to describe it.....
It's just that I got my PCGS grades.
