Improper alloy mixed US penny

Not a bad change find been told the color is caused by improper mixture of alloy but it's a common error so i'm told

true , but odd thing is some have said improper alloy mix is the cause of the coloring, now if that is true who knows, but this one caught my eye cause of the patterns on it , whatever the cause it's now in my collection

That does not have the look of an improper mix. Usually the coins have more of a streaky, "wood grain" appearance and not a mottled look.

Color is hard to judge. Is the background astroturf? Don't see any alloy mix issue. Spend it.

... it IS common.

Looks like most other early memorial cents to me.

The bad alloy problem was usually in the S mints from the early 20th century, they would get a wood grain look, what I see is a well worn common cent, maybe spent some time in an environment that would lead to rapid oxidation, its easy with copper.
