Any reports on the Seated Liberty displays at the Baltimore Show?

I hear they were a beautiful display with their owners standing by to

discuss the displays. However, it was unfortunate that they were placed

way in the back of the hall and were overlooked by many attendees.

    Bear, Speety can tell you the full story, no doubt. All I know, I happened upon their table and was just awe struck by these amazing seated liberties!!! I'm not an expert coin guy by any means, but I was amazed at this collection of coins!!!! They looked like they were recently minted!!! There was a dealer to dealer conversation going on when I approached....so I just did my lurking thing for about five minutes!!!

    Bear - It was really an incredible group of coins. This was what was on display:

    The finest known set of MS Liberty Seated Dimes.

    The finest known set of Proof Liberty Seated Quarters.

    The finest known set of Proof Liberty Seated Halves.

    A set of many of the die varities of Liberty Seated Quarters.


    The sets were on display at the Liberty Seated Collectors Club table. Yes it was at the back of the hall and not everybody knew to trek back there, but I am sure those that did enjoyed the view!
    Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

    I was asked to display our dollars along with those displays but was not able to due to prior commitments. image Next time for sure though!

    Oh well... at least everyone enjoyed them.
    Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

    Exactly. A breathtaking sight for those who like rare & high grade seated coinage. Thanks to everyone who made that display happen!

    Unfortunately I was unable to attend and I'm quite sure this would have been the highlight of the show at least for me. Any chance of an encore performance in Jan at FUN?

    The LSCC is trying to do it at next baltimore in March from what i understand (many of the big guns of the LSCC are based in the northeast iirc). Hopefully I will be able to join them.

    Thanks speety... I just had a notion that it would be a great thing for Jan FUN, as I'm sure many if not all of the guys who exhibited at Baltimore would be at FUN.

    I neglected to mention it in my initial report, it was .....awesome is the word that comes to mind to describe it, just beautiful pieces, one after another!

    Sorry I did not make the show. The sight of pristine coins that old

    would certainly been an experience to remember. Such exhibits are

    a rare opportunity that should never be missed bu attendees at a show.
