Do you think maybe the "gap" has something to do with the holidays? Just a WAG, but you have to wonder...

Bummer!!! Guess I can't go to that one either, just too close to the Holidays. That Ontario show last year was fun though, only show I've been to that had a bartender and sold mixed drinks right near the door image

Heck, in Vegas the "free" drinks are just a stone's throw away in the Casino! image

  • Who has attended one of the vegas pcgs members only shows ? Could I get a quick show report from a previous one?

I have attended one--the first one about a year ago.

About 20 to 25 dealers set up in a small ballroom, and they go about their wholesale business--reviewing coins from the PCGS boxes( generally no case displays). The dealers are also ready to sell to the PCGS members who attend, but we will also have to go through their inventory the same way.

There is more time for chatting with the dealers there, than at a large show.

The dealers will also entertain purchases from the collectors attending.

PCGS accepts submissions, but I do not recall if there is one day service, or the coins go back to PCGS for grading.

Breakfast and lunch are served each day, and there are 2 to 3 presentations by noted dealers/PCGS officers.

Overall, it is very casual, but really worthwhile, especially for the ability to meet and talk with some of the better and more knowledgeable dealers.

I plan to be there on Thursday and Friday.
