The first vending machine I know of that takes pres. dollars (outside of public transportation and the post office).
Now, where do I get the coins - I need a Pepsi?.

I also saw so 2009 cents in the clear plastic "donation box" - should I ask if i can exchange them ?

You can order 250 or 500 from the mint directly at face value with no shipping and get points on your credit card. It's kind of like the mint is paying you to use them.

Our machines have always taken them at least they took the Sac dollars since 2000 and they happen to work with the pres dollars.
