Is that die errosion on the reverse die? Did the canadian mint change dies in pairs or like the US change them as they wore resulting in different die pairs?

  • I have a few of these old George the 5th nickels in high grade. Is it really worthwhile to have them slabbed?

This one has a lot more lustre that I couldn't capture on the image. It is graded MS62 by CCCS and Trends for C$250. So yes, it is worth slabbing it.

  • Thats good news, ajaan.
I'm going to dig and them out and see what I have that might be worth getting slabbed.
Do you recommend I submit them to CCCS?

I'd submit them to PCGS Ray. The PCGS Canadian coin registry is growing so people will be wanting PCGS slabbed coins.
