How does anyone enjoy College Football (SEC) any more?

Yet another horrendous call in an SEC game for the home team. LSU makes an interception on the sideline and the refs call it incomplete, even after a clear replay...ridiculous.

It was questionable, however I think the outcome would have been the same. LSU was on their second string QB & RB by that time with multible linemen limping.

The defender clearly had one foot down and probably two. What's not clear to you about that?

on the first foot the question was if the catch had been made.

The second foot wasn't very clear.

I agree with you, my gut feeling was that it was indeed an interception. I also believe that it would not have deviated the outcome.

I thought the Int could have gone either way actually. It's just that the replay didnt show that it was an Int without a doubt, So I think the refs did the right thing by letting the play stand as a incomplete pass.

I'm not going so far as to say there is a "fix" in to ensure Florida and Alabama remain undefeated, BUT every time they get the benefit of questionable (or downright bad) calls and no-calls in critical situations, the perception will be there. And there have been several so far, all going their way.

The best way to prevent that in the future is to get the officials outside of conference control. That would certainly eliminate (or at least greatly reduce) at least the appearance of bias. In the era of the BCS, a conference just has too much money on the line if their top teams remain undefeated and in the hunt for the so-called "championship."

There's just too much at stake to allow the officials to be employed by the conference in this day and age.

This has to be the post of the year. Officiating crews making mistakes. Therefore we shouldn't enjoy college football. LMAO

When umpires in baseball and officials in football make mistakes, I hope we get a "How can anyone enjoy the NFL and MLB anymore"
thread too. Those threads will be runner ups to this one.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate that you like my thread. My point being (and backed up by Alabama fans themselves) is that the SEC has had way too many of these calls go to either Florida and Alabama this year for it to be a fluke. To be honest, college football pretty much sucks any more since the inception of the BCS. We get the same 5-7 money-making teams in the title game every year. Do you honestly think TCU, Boise St., and/or Cincinnati has ANY shot of making the BCS title game? I LOVED how Utah smoked Alabama last year in a bowl game, but even games like this won't change this year's title game selection...either Ala/Fla. vs. Texas. Unless those teams lost more than one game this year, you could have penciled that title game back in August. (throw in media darlings USC to that mix, too, but at least they lost two games this year...I THINK they're eliminated, but one never knows).

Until Boise State, TCU, and Cincy play much tougher schedules, they do not belong in the championship. game. It's much easier to won one tough game than it is 5 or 6, particularly when your players are not getting banged up every week.

well at least we know where the refs from the last 2 steelers superbowls are now employed.
