Thought I'd start this thread early. The mercenary Sillies and that quitter Hamels will be lucky to break .500 next season, and it's not even debatable.

....that being said, ya gotta respect the enthusiasm of Mets fans, and I for one am not counting them out of the 2010 NL East race....
...there of course have been a number of big one season turnarounds in MLB before.
I'd wish the 2010 Mets` good luck but you'd know I wouldn't mean it.

Really? ......Really? Despite the Mets astronomical payroll, they still managed to put together the worst rotation in the NL East and one of the worst in the entire national league. Are the Mets planning to trot out Nelson Figueroa, Tim Redding, and Mike Pelfrey again as the back end of the rotation next year? Which of those guys do you think will win 20 games....15 games....10 games? Unless the Mets completely, and I mean completely, retool their starting pitching from #3 to #5, I say they finish a distant 4th behind the Phils, Braves, and Marlins AGAIN. You can't win with garbage pitching.
Always buying Bobby Cox inserts. PM me.
The OP should increase his odds and become a Pirates fan. Less frustration.

Have to admit the pitching staff ( minus Santana) was brutal last year. Still can't understand why they let Rick Peterson go? Maine and Perez had career years under Peterson. The pitching staff should be Santana,Pelfrey,Maine,Perez, and Niese. Not sure if they will try Parnell as a starter, they also have Fernando Nieve.
Really not sure what to expect in 2010. All the injuries make you question the medical staff, their minor league system is lacking, they have a high payroll, lots of quesions. Will see what kind of moves they make this offseason. If they are healthy( a big IF), the Mets can compete in the NL East.

It's a long way till Opening Day...we'll see what the Mets have in store fot the 2010 campaign...till then why don't you try and further promote that free agency out of college thing for the NFL that you so idiotically proposed during the the Crabtree holdout, LOL...afterall the league needs such progessive thinking!
