A friend's favorite player growing up was Stargell. His wife wants to buy him his rookie for Christmas. The catch.......she only wants to spend around $25 - $50. Come on guys, let me see what ya got.

Hard pressed to find one that cheap. Maybe a PSA 1-3?? Does it matter if it is graded or not?

previous psa 4 and 5 sales are in that range.....I'm hoping for a surface wrinkle card that is nicely centered. I know, I'm reaching for the stars.

I would take it raw but only from trusted sources. Would not want to buy a card and find out later its trimmed.

I saw that. It actually ended after I got word on what she was willing to spend. I think it's a perfect example of what she could get for the price.

I'd highly recommend getting the '64 instead -- it's his first solo card and is much better looking than those hideous '63 rookie cards. You can get a real nice '64 in that price range -- certainly a PSA 6 and probably a 7.

I agree but he's a new collector and really into the "rookie" card thing. He hasn't gotten there to appreciate the other cards as much even though he does like vintage better. Thank god.
