According to the LA Times, Dodgers starter Vicente Padilla was treated for a minor gunshot wound in a Nicaragua hospital on Tuesday. The wound was apparently self-inflicted and Padilla's agent is calling it a "hunting accident". The pitcher was treated for 30-40 minutes after being rushed to the hospital and it appears the bullet just grazed his leg.

The article I read said the instructor shot him, he had given the gun to the instructor after it jammed and the instructor didn't realize it was chambered, shot himself in the hand and then the bullet hit Padilla.
