Which of the following choices do you believe has the best medium to long term potential for price appreciation:
1) Silver bullion? (interesting fundamentals and interesting trend in gsr).
2) Proof Gold Buffalos?? (a stunningly attractive coin with dwindling chances of low mintage, but with proofs always garnering a nice premium).
3) 2009 Fractional Gold Eagles??? (possible low mintages and possible short struck, but no guarantee).
4) 1 oz. Proof Plats???? (probable crappy design with very low sales potential and some possibility of being short struck).

The long term potential for silver is very good. It's 2010 potential doesn't look great to me when it's at $17.30 now.
Long and most silver bullion.

And that is why most people fail in the equity market. They buy high and sell low. I prefer to sell high and buy low.
They confuse past and present tense. Instead of saying "went", the say "going".

Must also know "up" from "down".

I'm with you for silver bullion. 1000 ounces is in sight.
As for options 2, 3 and 4, I will not to pay the Mint's premiums with the hope that someone else will be willing to pay an even higher premium later. If I have some extra money this year I'll stack more common post 1982 gold commemoratives and gold arts medallions.
