Which of the following choices do you believe has the best medium to long term potential for price appreciation:

1) Silver bullion? (interesting fundamentals and interesting trend in gsr).

2) Proof Gold Buffalos?? (a stunningly attractive coin with dwindling chances of low mintage, but with proofs always garnering a nice premium).

3) 2009 Fractional Gold Eagles??? (possible low mintages and possible short struck, but no guarantee).

4) 1 oz. Proof Plats???? (probable crappy design with very low sales potential and some possibility of being short struck).

    -----------------------------------

The long term potential for silver is very good. It's 2010 potential doesn't look great to me when it's at $17.30 now.

Cant go wrong with silver bullion. If had to choose though, I would invest most of it in fractional GAE's. I'm also game for at least one proof buffalo and one proof plat eagle. Never know when the Mint will end these series.

And that is why most people fail in the equity market. They buy high and sell low. I prefer to sell high and buy low.image

They confuse past and present tense. Instead of saying "went", the say "going".

I understand the trade (DZZ) and I think it has merit but I think using 2 and 3X ETF's are overated and can actually work against you even if your trade is heading in the right direction as they reset daily

There has been plenty written on the subject on the premise

One cavaet is I like them for dt's or short swing trades.

Anything longer can be counter intuitive

I might consider something from the Perth Mint (lots of products)... don't know when they came out... but I might buy the set:

I'm with you for silver bullion. 1000 ounces is in sight. image

As for options 2, 3 and 4, I will not to pay the Mint's premiums with the hope that someone else will be willing to pay an even higher premium later. If I have some extra money this year I'll stack more common post 1982 gold commemoratives and gold arts medallions.

Any of these with an on line account. The more the better:
