Looking for a little help and verification of attribution..

and the 1891 is the small date large leaf variety..

grade opinions also welcome

Unfortunately the computer system at school blocks the images. Will check them tonight if you don't an answer before then.

    The 1859 is DP#2

The 1891 coins drive me crazy. I'll wait for Rob or someone else to chime in on that one. The 9 looks large to me but I could very well be wrong.

1859, obv image kind of blurry, but I would say VF20, maybe VF30.

    1891 nice VG10.

The '59 is a DP#2 VF-30+. There appear to be lots of scratches so, if not cleaned harshly and the scratches appear worse than they really are, I'd say it could get XF-40 on a good day. The LLSD 1891 Obv 2 is F-15 at best. Both are nice finds.

Both coins look better in hand than the pics ( which were taken with a
dynolite microscope , which magnifies every imperfection and they are not noted for capturing color but they are great for picking up varieties...

    thanks guys

Ken, Bill has a lot more experience with circulated Large Cents than I do. Go with what he says, especially with the 1859 cent.

Hi Don .. .How are things in the Sunny South? No snow yet, but a little sleet. It's an inside joke folks, as we live about 30 miles apart as the crow flies, each of us straddling the border.
