1917 DDO lincoln reverse die marker?

I read that the reverse has a die gouge - does anyone know where
or if the source was mistaken with another issue?

I don't know of a reverse marker.

If you have a low grade one to ID look for the wide vertical bar on the last T of TRUST and the inside loop of the R for the doubled vertical bar that's protected in the loop. Those show even on very worn coins.
