Feedback on Raffle

Hey All,
The Coinhood Staff was thinking on an idea for a raffle, and we decided to test the waters of this type of contest.
We wanted to know your thoughts on it, good or bad, so maybe Coinhood might want to do this sort of thing again. Any thoughts will be much appreciated,
Thanks,
-T$

The proceeds of the raffle are going to pay for site expenses. The only person who have access to the donations is Javasdad, and if we don't sell all 100 numbers in the next 14 days, all the money will be refunded.

Yes I know, but my point wasnot intended to advertise. I wanted some honest feedback on the raffle, so we may better shape it in the future. If that is the consensus, that this is an advertisement, then I will remove the link and post it in the "Coin Swaps, Tags, and Giveaways" image

Okay, here's some feedback. It's idiotic, and no one here is interested. image

My honest opinion? I personally wouldn't shell out $5, much less $6 for a potential $120 prize. A prize with a higher value or a lower ticket cost ($1) might entice me more.

Ideally, this feedback can be incorporated into the next raffle.

Yes, it is constructive criticism. That's what I am hoping. image
  • I think you might stand a better chance if you were raising money for some charity; as it is good luck.image

Be careful about calling it a raffle. My company wanted to do this for a good cause but we were prohibited due to all sorts of red tape (typical CA bureaucracy). A google search is telling.

Instead we settled on giving away prizes for contributions. Utter nonsense.

Sorry, but I don't like the money-making concept. If it were for a charitable cause, I would not mind it so much. But, if it is successful, you stand to make quite a return on your investment. However, for the player, the return is not that great given the odds. I would not be interested in what appears to be a gimmick. That is my honest opinion.
