mint has my order on hold again

Is it always the Mint's policy to place a hold on larger purchases if the shipping and billing are different ? I think it is great that they don't want me to get ripped off but I would like to be able to simply call instead of waiting for the letter to prove that I live at the billing address.

.......it's probably more like THEY don't want to get ripped off. they're probably checking on credit card number verification etc.image

With some credit cards you can change the billing address on line or calling them to match the shipping address you want for the Mint.

I changed my credit card billing address to my PO BOX because I wanted the Mint to ship there. Then I called the Mint and changed the info there.

    Never had a problem after.

Also, you can use more than one credit card at the mint, but it has to be for different purchases. Whatever card info you have on file with the mint is the card that will be charged by the mint at the time of purchase. If you want to use a different card for your next purchase just change the info in your mint account before the next purchase. It will not affect earlier purchases. Been there, done it.

I would do this but I am using my work address as my shipping address.
I guess I'm just going to have to wait for the darn letter again. I suppose the only reason this would be an issue is if I am trying to get the coins in before 30 days, which I am.
Of course, now they arn't posting when they are shipping anymore so I might have more time than I thought.
