eBay delivery time??

What do you guys expect in terms of delivery time when you purchase cards from eBay...I'm talking from date of payment to delivery. 7 days?? 10 days? Just wondering. I think 7 days is sufficient.

    Once it hits the 10 day mark (and there hasn't been any holidays during that time) is when I start to wonder what's up with it...at the 2 week mark is when I normally send the seller an e-mail.

    If it's under 10 days i will always leave 5-star (shipping time) feedback.
    But unless it's something i specially asked to be shipped quickly I will give the seller about 2 weeks.
    After that email them. If no response after 2 days then i'll start the paypal claims process fairly quick.
    If they're honest and apologize or tell me what the problem is, it's no big deal.

    Yup.

    I want him to ship as fast as I pay.

    The delievry time is TOTALLY out of the seller's control.

    i try to ship as quickly as possible and pray for the best lol. Email the delivery confirmation numbers and follow up in a few days by checking the tracking progress online. Often i get emails saying "my item hasn't arrived" i check online and its sitting at their post office after several attempted deliveries. I shoot them an email and voila, they pick up the damn thing lol

    Couldn't have said it any better myself.


    I have had to send that two-week e-mail maybe two or three times total, and I have been buying cards regularly on EBay for 3 1/2 years.

    I also start to wonder at 10 days with no communication and generally send an email at 2 weeks.

    Quite correct. Delivery time is totally irrelevant. The time it takes the seller to ship the item once they've been paid is everything.

    I ship everything the day that I receive payment, whether it be a PayPal payment or receiving a check/money order in the mail, as long as the payment reaches me before 4:30pm. Post office closes at 5:30, so I need to have time to package it up and drive to the P.O.

    I just look at the post mark, if the seller shipped it 1 to 3 days after I paid for it and the stupid post office takes 3 weeks to deliver it, then the seller did his job and I give him 5 or 6 stars, communication is what is needed. don't screw the seller because the post office screwed up. JMHO

    Fair enough guys. One of my last wins on eBay was paid for on Oct. 20. It arrived today, which I think is too late. Here's why. I think if you send something either the day after someone pays or even 2 days after, 90% of the time the package will arrive in 7 days just using 1st class mail. I just happened to have the bubble mailer laying in my office trash can and sure enough, I paid on Oct. 20 and the ship date was Oct. 26. It arrived today, Oct. 30. To me, that's not 5 star service, hence my 3 given on feedback for time of delivery. Maybe I'm the exception, but 90% of the time I ship the day after payment, and never later than 2 days after payment. I'm done ranting now. I love these boards!! Edited to add that this is a pretty well-known eBay seller. Not 4SC big, but a rather common name I would think.

    Sellers should ship no later than one day after payment is received. I ship all of my auctions on the next day. Unless it's noted in the item description that they ship every Friday or whatever, there is no excuse for delayed shipping.
