Two 4th quarter turnovers going back to the house were the reason the Vikes lost, not the refs..

Better team lost that one today. That's the game to lose --- inter-conference ones that have little chance of causing tiebreaker problems for the playoffs....Vikes looked very good today...
    Enjoy your collection!

The tripping call was about the only bad call I saw and it changed the game entirely!

Wow, what a GREAT football mind. First turnover in the 4th was right after the Favre/ Rice td, watch the highlights. Tell me that is a freaking penalty.

The int was a tipped ball, we shouldnt had to been driving for the win.

Regardless, we played f'ing AWSOME... Just not happy about the calls, INCLUDING a 4 minute left defensive delay, lmao...OK then.

They lost the game not converting on four chances from the one yard line. We will find out next week if they are a good team or just another typical Vikes squad.

LOL, maybe it was the ref who threw that pass that was taken back for a TD when you had the chance to go in for the go-ahead TD, or maybe it was the refs who stuffed yor team FOUR straight times from the one-yard line, or maybe it was the ref who ran back that 77-yd fumble for a TD...but keep whining about the refs if it makes you feel better, LOL! image

the interference call on Miller on Pitts first touchdown was bogus - would have had 7 instead of 3

No doubt, the better team lost that game.....something about those Steelers, man.

It's life. The refs will play a part in helping your team win about 50% of the games over your lifetime and lose 50%. It's just life... and it isn't fair.

Yeah if Mendenhall hadn't fumbled or if they would have called the 5 holding or blocks in the backs on Harvins TD return..........

See, it is a never ending argument. You could look at every play and find something that could have "turned the game around".

Bottom line is if the Vikes were the better team the would have scored TD's from inside the 1 and tackled somebody on 70+ TD returns by the Steelers D.

There were questionable calls both ways. The interference call on Miller on the opposite side of the field that cost them a TD. Maybe that was interference but it looked like he was just blocking two players. The tripping call for Harrison was questionable. The delay of game is hard to say. Maybe the defense was simulating the snap count. The Steelers had one of those calls against them earlier this year. What drives me mad is when the announcers chime in about what a horrible call this or that was. They don't know squat. Especially a call like this where it could be based on verbal shouts that the announcers would never hear over 65k screaming fans. Then there was the holding on the runback for Harvin that wasn't called.

Calls are just a part of the game. Teams need to overcome them. The Steelers got some help and overcame a few today. They overcame one when the refs admittedly blew a call on Troy's interception against Manning in the '05 playoffs.

As for the better team winning, the Steelers are proven winners. The Vikes have a ways to go. Going 6-0 against a modest schedule doesn't make them automatically better. The Steelers are a few missed plays away from 7-0 as well. In the NFL, you have to win to be considered the better team. Almost doesn't count. The Vikes are good. We'll see how they hold up over the full season.

    Great game by the way.

It's always the refs never the team with some fans. We all get caught up in the game and bad calls against our teams but you have to have some perspective and the Vikes didn't overcome the adversity they actually gave the game away at the end.

I didn't watch much of the game, so I can't speak to the calls. But the Vikes had first and goal on the 1 in the first half. They ran the ball on first with Peterson for no gain. Then they did play action passes on second and third. On the 1 yard line, with Peterson as your back, you're running play action passes? Those are the things that cost teams games. I thought I was watching a Lions game for a minute there.
