The Share Your PSA/DNA Autograph Thread

Hello All,

I thought with the group submission, this months special and the collections we already own, it might be fun to share some of our PSA/DNA autographs.

Others (if not most) on this board have some much cooler signatures then me...however here are some of my favorite slabbed ones.

image
Maybe an 8?

image
Multi-signed Topps cards are cool....this one is a RC of Steve Sax who was ROY.

imageimage
Weeb signed this one, then I guess thought he had signed in too dark of a spot so he flipped it over and signed the back.

image
If I remember right, PSA does not grade (slab) these cards.

image
Uggla has a cool name.

image
Nice looking Starr.

image
Brock and company.

image
A bunch of guys that played hard.

image
The slabs even make autos on crappy pieces of paper look cool.

So....what is in your collection?

Clear Skies,
Mark

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

    Jim -

I have one of those Clemente's too, but I've never been sure about it...let us know what PSA thinks!

They already said it's good, see sticker in bottom right corner.

I had an identical one when I was a kid, signed in black pen. Got it in person, lost it in a house fire.

I mean, yours is fake. I'll buy it cheap and use it to cover my bar!

Hmm...yeah I missed the sticker there...well shoot, that's a good sign, so to speak. Thanks!
  • Nice football autos - they look good on the SWELLs cards.

What do you guys want, vintage or modern?
    Who is Rober Maris?
  • I have a really stupid question so I apologize in advance. Why do some of the slabs have blue flips and others have red? Is one better than the other? I have quite a few signed cards from when I was a kid that I got at the ballpark (Metropolitan Stadium and the Metrodome) and I have been thinking about getting some authenticated. Thank you!

The Red is from PSA and can go in the Set Registry. If it has a grade than it is for the card.
The Blue is from PSA/DNA and can go only in the PSA/DNA Registry. If it has a grade it is for the autograph.

Red flips are what PSA started off with when slabbing autographed cards. As that grew more popular, they introduced the blue PSA/DNA flips. The differences between the 2 are that the blue flips are only concerned with the autograph and not the card (they don't attempt to grade or authenticate the card being slabbed. The red flips are for licensed cards only, and even if you chose the authentication only option for the autograph, they'll check the card to ensure that it is an authentic, unaltered card or note as much on the flip (altered, recolored, etc.). Grades on the red flip are for the card (unless stated otherwise). Grades on the blue flip are for the autograph only.

I sent in a few cards for the September special and the literally just popped a few minutes ago. I honestly expected to see these cards somewhere close to Christmas so to say I am happy to see these pop so quickly would be an understatement. Here is the small sub:

    83056197 POSTCARD KEN HUBBS Authentic
83056196 1977 BASEBALL'S GREAT HALL OF FAME EXHIBITS JOE DiMAGGIO HALL OF FAME EXHIBITS JOE DiMAGGIO Authentic
83056195 1977 BASEBALL'S GREAT HALL OF FAME EXHIBITS YOGI BERRA HALL OF FAME EXHIBITS YOGI BERRA Authentic

These are the before pictures... The Yogi and Dimaggio were TTMs I sent out from the late 70's and the Hubbs was picked up in a deal a few years ago.
