Terrell Pryor's favorite receiver comes to his defense

You just can't make these things up.

DeVier Posey:

"From his first pass, (people said) he's really not that good. But I really feel that's kind of hard for a guy like that, you know what I mean? There's only one Tim Tebow in this world and I don't really know what people want from (Pryor)," Posey said. "He's going to get better. He really can't do much worse."

Those were hardly words of consolation, either for Pryor, now a sophomore, or Ohio State fans.

Posey went on to say Pryor will improve, although he was a bit unsure of when.

What a ringing endorsement. That was his friend talking about him??

I'd hate to say "bust", but obviously he hasn't lived up to expectations put on what was perceived to be the highest rated QB. He's still only a sophmore, so he has plenty of time and has had a few big games to this point.

With that being said, I'm still a Michigan fan. I was upset when I found out Pryor wasn't coming here. I was kind of soured though by the games he was playing leading up to his announcement of where he was going to commit. Now that Michigan has Forcier, I can already say I'm glad Pryor committed to OSU. I think this team will be better off with him (& Gardner next year) than they would have been w/ Pryor.

Way too early to know how good he can be, it looks to me that he hasn't been coached up very well, even as dumb as Vince was he had a very good year in college. Dirt, there is no doubt that Michigan gained by losing Pryor. Forcier is and will be very good and he came with a lot fewer expectations. I am not yet convinced that Gardner will be anything more than a running threat.

Maybe a few more bad games will get Pryor's and/or the coaching staff's and they get on the same page as to what it takes to make him great. No doubt he has the physical tools.

Always hard to tell with guys like Gardner, just as it is with Denard this year. But it's still always exciting to see if he (Gardner) can become something "here" as opposed to having to see the possibility somewhere else image
