3. A Phillies - Yankees World Series - THAT JUST MIGHT HAPPEN.

    The Eagles are good. It has to happen for them sometime.

    I agree and it should be a very good contest. I would have to give the edge to the Spankees due to their bullpen even though Lidge has done a great job this post season.

    I'm expecting it to be one of the best World Series of all time. The Yankees are very hungry and have a huge monkey on their back which they want to remove. The Phillies are still hungry despite winning it last season, and even though I wasn't even born yet, I want payback for the Yankees crushing the Phils in the 1950 World Series.

    The Phillies are a popular team nationwide, and the Yankees are the Yankees, and it wouldn't surprise me if the ratings for this World Series break some records.

    I'm ready - Bring it on!!!

    The sad thing is that a Phillies-Yankees WS still wouldn't likely start games until after 8 PM, despite being more of an east coast interest than, say, Dodgers-Angels...

    A choke could certainly happen. Pettitte in Game 6 is no guarantee, and as we know, anything can happen in Game 7. Hell, maybe the umps will blow a call AGAINST the Yanks for once in this postseason. The Yanks are lucky that Selig's "everything for the almightly dollar" schedule gave them an off-day between Games 4 and 5, so they can have CC on normal rest for Game 7.

    In 1950 the Phils and Yanks met in the Fall Classic,

    perhaps a grudge match/rematch, 59 years in the making ?
