What are these worth..and what are they?? Dallas Cowboys "Cowboys Tips" cards by local Kiw

Picked these up recently in a bunch of other cards. Any ideas on these?? Year???...I checked on ebay and didn't see anything like them.

    I remember Glenn Carano in the USFL (sorry, have no idea as to worth; doubt worth much)
    Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.
  • They appear to be 1987 era.
    Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
    Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

    Those used to be given out when I was a boy in Dallas . They were used to help foster a relationship between law enforcement and kids. All you had to do to get one was to go up to a cop and ask. The cop would talk to you for a couple minutes and then give you a card. I had several of them, but they are long gone.

    Oh, and if memory serves me correctly, they were around 1980 or so.

  • Alright...made me search.

    According to the Standard Catalog of Football cards it is the "1981 Cowboys Police" set. A complete set is 15 cards and is worth $7.50 with the Ed Too Tall Jones at $1.50 the most valuable.
    Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
    Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
