For Sale: 1955 Topps Baseball Set SOLD

Hi guys
I found a motorcycle I want, so, to the chopping block goes my '55 set!
The set is missing one card, I just never happened to pick up, #187 Gil Hodges, but you can get it for $15 or $20 on ebay all day long.
The stars are typically lower to mid grade, however, the commons can be found from low grade to near mint.

On to the goods:

gorgeous well centered Clemente RC:

The #1 Rhodes is signed, I'll throw in the cool singed index card as well.

As you can see some of the commons are pretty nice.
In the interest of full disclosure, the Mays has a spot of paper loss on a back corner. I dont think there are any other problems that can't be seen in the scans. A couple of the high #s are graded, I think there is a 3 and a 4.
If anyone wants more pictures I can provide them tomorrow... the Killebrew RC is a psa 1-2 condition card.
The only complete sets I saw ended on ebay went over $2000, but they were a little nicer than my set. Offers welcome.

Things are good. Working on selling most of my collection at the moment. I'm keeping my Campanella's and my Cardinals. Pretty much everything else is going. We'll see how that goes. LOL

Power and Light is a good time. Of course I've only been down there a couple times because of the kids but hopefully we'll be able to make it down there again sometime soon.

    Hey John,

Be sure and post pics of your new motorcycle. That looked like a pretty good deal on your 55 set, it almost got me interested in buying it just to have something like that. Very, very fair price.

    Congrats on the bike,

thanks, Mike. I got really good deals on a few of the big cards (clemente for 250, for example), so, I was able to sell the set for a fair price. I enjoyed it, I dont think I lost money on the set, and I enjoyed putting it together, so everyone wins!

    Congrats, Mike!

And one bit of advice from a bike dealer:

Take about a hundred bucks of the money you got for the set and buy a helmet!

    Good luck...enjoy the rides!

Looks like a fun '55 set. Would that all my '55s were nicely centered like that Clemente! image
