Grading HELP!!

I received this card from PSA, MISCUT. how is this card miscut?

PSA's lingo defines a MC as: 1) A card with little or no border or even portions of a nother card 2) Factory Miscut, such as Diamond cut 3) another cards image is on the original card

They graded all my cards from the last group submission except this one, I'm not sure why not. The person I purchased it from broke it out of a PSA 7 NM holder, why I don't know.

  • Maybe someone can chime in about the miscut, but if this card was indeed in a PSA 7 holder then that was a very generous grade.

There are 2 kinds of Miscut.

MC qualifier miscuts mean there's part of another card showing or part of the card missing.

Rejected for grading miscuts mean the card was not cut in straight lines (not a rectangle) and it doesn't appear to be due to an attempt to trim the card. There is more tolerance for uneven cuts with older cards - especially tobacco/caramel and 19th century.

The left border of your card looks like a classic rejected for grading miscut.

  • I got my 2 Pete's mixed up. The other one I received was in a PSA 7 holder (re-graded a 6). This one was not not graded before.

Nick, thank you for helping me out on that.

I agree with this, the two side borders don't look remotely parallel.
