Storing valuable MTG Cards

Hi all,
I am collecting a set of Arabian Nights MTG cards. I am currently storing these in a 4 card portfolio made by Max Protection.
Do you think this is a safe way to store the cards ?
Thanks,
Martin

i prefer storing ungraded black border cards in poly sleeves and top loaders. pages tend to wear corners down after a while. if you are playing with them, it's probably a different story.
good luck with your set.

I've been storing my MtG cards in 9-pocket pages since '93 and never had an issue - the rounded corners seem to help there. More recently I've taken to putting them upside-down into KMC perfect fit sleeves and then into 9-pocket pages, to help prevent any damage to the top edge. I also recommend albums with slipcovers, as it gives you even better protection from dust, airborne stuff and such.
.... of course, you could just get them all PSA graded and then not worry about anything
Take it easy,
