Just a word of caution for everyone...Update...With Pix.

In the last week or so, our favorite auction site has been

FLOODED with offers of major brand gold bars.... all from the same seller.

Where the rub comes in for me.....

The offerings all have the same pix of several gold bars of various sizes up to 1oz.....

using MAJOR BRANDS in the pix. THESE ARE NOT THE BRANDS YOU WILL RECIEVE.

The offering is for 1 GRAIN OF GOLD --- NOT GRAM.

Now to be fair.....Yes.... it is stated as such in the print.

It is also stated in print .... NO RETURNS.

With gold at $1050 .... 1 GRAIN has a melt value of $2.1875

There is NO single pix of the 1 grain bar being offered next to something of size ... like a dime.

OK.... found this pix.

1 Grains next to 1 gram bar.

1 Troy oz. is 480 GRAINS..... thats 480 bars/rounds out of 1 oz.

Just know what you are bidding on before you click the bid button.

How big are 1 grain bars? I would guess they are almost microscopic. Is there such a thing and, if so, who makes them?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

This is 1 company that makes them....and I believe this is what is being offered.....as well as other unusual PM items.

    Cohen Mint.

It is not easy by their pixs to really tell what size some of the items are.

At least if some one wishes to purchase some of these ..... you can bypass the auction site mark-up.

I saw those auctions if you're referring to the guy with the Engelhard bars in his gallery pic. He claims he is cutting them up. I have some cards with 1 grain bars in them and they're about the size of a grain of rice.

Perry - 1/8" according to their site.

Based on my monitor settings, that's about the width of a single letter (except an "i").

They are probably paper thin if they weigh only 1 grain. If you are looking at a pile of them, pray that you don't sneeze.
