Went to the Shark's game last night with some friends. Have been to less than 10 hockey games in my 40+ years of life. My last hockey game was about 10 years ago. What a blast last night! Great crowd, great venue, and a really fast and fun game. Lots of goals scored which was fun. Oh ya, and several fights! Lastly, a guy had a hat trick which was awesome. I would say between 100 and 200 hats were thrown onto the ice. Though I only knew the names of a few of the Shark's and non of the Columbus players it was really awesome. Will definitely get to another game this season. Highly recommended for you non-hockey fans.

I feel the same way whenever I go to a Hockey game..........then 3-4 years go by, before I get to another game and I live 20 minutes from where the Ducks play!

Agreed -- all levels of hockey from youth to NHL are a blast to watch in person.
I went to a lot of Avalanche games during the 3 1/2 years I was stationed in Colorado Springs, and still try to make the drive from San Antonio to Dallas a couple of times a year to see the Stars play.

Soccer ranks way up there. As does (oddly enough) bowling.

Yeah, Soccer blows on TV. When I travel to Europe, I find the cricket games more interesting than soccer on the Tele.
Hockey is where it's at!
As you can see by my user name, golf is also something I love. It has also been said that watching golf on tv is boring...it can be. I guess it depends on your level of interest in the sport, trying to learn things, who the players in contention that week are, the venue they're playing, whether or not you have anything else to do, lol....
I don't mind watching soccer on tv since that's pretty much the only way to see top notch, professional-level soccer in the midwest. World Cup mens and womens action is COOL. I can't imagine what it would be like to see one of those games live, or a premier league game maybe.
Basketball loses just a little on tv. Just a great sport to watch either live or televised.
American football, I just can't get into it. Too much downtime between plays... Plus it would cut into my hockey viewing if I had to watch that too....gotta have a life, lol.
