Selling on Ebay...taking money orders/cashiers checks

This subject may have been beaten over and over but i'll bring it up again..
Most recently been getting quite a few questions from potential buyers asking if I would take a money order, I always answer with yes I do with cashiers check being ideal.
I get a bit nervous thinking ebay scans such communication between members and will get me for violating terms.
Are there any disadvantages as a seller to accept cashiers check or money orders?
Of course I would wait for the check to clear...but is there any way I can get shafted after the money clears the bank? chargebacks/check cancellations?
I think Ebay/Paypal has brainwashed me into thinking that I need PAYPAL to protect me as a seller or buyer.
Would appreciate member feedback as this is a big money item i'd be accepting a money order for.

no violation.
If the "failure to use electronic checkout" rate gets much
above 6%, EBAY will ask the seller why, but unless a seller
is the one who is "initiating" the paper-payment chat, there
is no problem.
USPS Money Orders are the best/safest payments for
sellers. You can cash them at the PO, when you go to
mail the stuff.
