    Ole BlackJack pitched the best game in world Series history, and most have no clue about that game. Did you watch that ceremony closing down the Dome after the "final" game Sunday? Man, what a moment. To see my favorite ball players was awesome. The entire time I was wondering if Tom Brunansky was gonna be there, and he was. Watching the Kirby highlights from game 6 brought tears to my eyes!

    I saw an interview with him on Espn over the weekend and he said that all of the pressure is on Detroit.....he wouldn't commit to answering the question of who would win the game....but I got the feeling he thinks the Twins will do it! I wonder if he is torn since he won World Series with both teams??? image

    Twins Spring Training facility is two miles from my house. The team and the Single A affiliate Miracle are a great asset to our area. We have a lot of Minnesota transplants here so they have a good following.

    Bert B. kept a home here for awhile and his HOF status is always a hot topic.

    An article in today's local paper about Miracle alumni now in the show. I saw most of them play minor league ball. -

    In contrast the Bosox held our County hostage for over 100 million this year to get a new facility. They want a mini Fenway built with attached support buildings. All for 6 weeks of business. They will pay 500,000 per year for rent and no one has been able to prove that it will make money for the area. Nice approach for hard economic times.
