If he is arrested and charged criminally [assault and battery, both of which are felonies], I would suspect that the league would have to take action against him [suspension] even if the Raiders do not take action. That would mean an interim coach taking over the helm of the team.

I suspect that if a warrant is issued, there will be no need to formally execute it [why have a public spectacle of Cable being arrested and cuffed]. Legal counsel for Cable would contact the Napa County DA and make arrangements for Cable to appear voluntarily for arrest, booking, arraignment, bail and quick release.
The long delay in the LEOs taking any action may well
mean that there is another version of the event that
we are not yet aware of.
