penalty in chiefs/giants game

jarrod page hits giants WR to knock the ball loose right after he catches it... unnecessary roughness, giants score on the next play. what is the defender supposed to do? let him catch the ball and two hand touch him?

I guess they are supposed to hit the player lower, but he hit him around the shoulder area. how is a split second decision supposed to be made by the defender to hit slightly lower? i dont even know if it's possible. the NFL is ruining defense... players are scared to do their jobs... wtf.... comments?

I saw the play. I believe that Page did nothing wrong. The officials simply blew the call. Maybe they thought he hit Steve Smith in the head, but it was a totally clean play.

That's how the Giants win! That and they play with mirrows and hope the other team f**ks up. They ARE NOT that good!!!!

Pretty messed up call. Should have been a fumble...instead of turned TD. Still, the Chiefs did pretty good against the Giants. I don't anyone thought KC would win, but at least it was not 35-3. Now next week, with the Cowboys and Romo, I think we have a good shot.

I just dont understand how they are supposed to hit hard anymore and not be terrified of being fined. I saw an awful roughing the passer penalty this weekend too, cant remember when though. In my mind this is a real problem. Every play could go differently , be more exciting, but it is influenced by the knowledge in every defender's heads that they could be penalized for doing their jobs at any time.

There were so many ridiculous calls and noncalls in the Bears vs Lions game I lost count. Unfortunately they ended up costing both teams 21 pts. at the time.
