Im not trying to be negative or burst your bubble here....the Ruth sig doesnt look good...much too "slanted" for his style. I hope Im wrong. You may want to get it authenticated by psa/dna or jsa.

Why are you guys always picking on the brand new guys who come here with big dollar fakes?

  • Its been authenticated.

    Will post scan of certificate.

    Another armchair expert?

I think why it looks a little different is the angle it has been put in the frame window, but you 'experts' would know all about that.

As for the big dollar comment, I cant recall seeing a price on either it, or the Munson ball.imageimage

Authenticated by who? Would anyone here trust anyone other than PSA/DNA or JSA on a vintage cut, especially Ruth when it is one of the most forged signatures in the hobby?

Why didnt you advertise it with its COA to begin with? Im seeing red flags here.

And being a second time poster and ONLY on your own thread, we are suppose to trust you, right? ::::eyeroll:::

I will pay you $250 if it passes PSA/DNA or JSA.

    The Ruth is not authentic.
  • Ok....so someone post PSA/DNA authenticated Babe Ruth item and let's compare! image

OK so not just a "new member" but once again a "new member who is smarter than the rest of us". Sorry.

You can't take a picture of poop from a different angle and say it's not really poop. It looks like a different poop but it's still poop.

You asked for offers. If anybody thought for a minute that your "ruth autograph" was legit they would pay "big dollars". If you were selling a legit Ruth autograph for less than "big dollars" you wouldn't be any smarter than your target.

I'm not an expert on babe ruth signatures but I've seen enough of Richard Simon's posts to know an obviously bad one. The folks who posted and said yours is not legit are good enough experts for me.

The only authenticator who would say that sig was legit is maybe chris morales, maybe STAT would say it is legit and then that corner auction would sell it.

Here are a couple I found on the Internet. Not sure if that ball is actually inside that PSA/DNA holder:

Ahh yes, Chris Morales...connections with Coach's Corner (known scammers), fake qualifications (yes, he is a member of a forensics group but authenticating documents is NOT one of his expertise even though he claims it) and has also lied about his background, has also been known to be involved with other shady authenticators and graders, has failed to be able to correctly identify real and fake autos (I think that was part of that HBO special). No auctions houses except Coach's Corner will sell with his COAs. His authentications sell for pennies on the dollar because most know they are fake. Also is involved with STAT...do a search.

"armchair experts", no....informed and concerned collectors? Absolutely.

Do yourself a favor and either destroy the cut or keep it as a good example of a fake signature. Sorry that you got screwed by the Chris Morales Plague. Being angry will do you no good. It is disheartening when you find out that your sig is not real. Ive been through it. But dont ruin your reputation and name over a fake autograph.

If the Munson is also a Morales authenticated piece (or STAT authenticated), I would suggest doing the same thing as the Ruth.

Dont be a dishonest person and pawn it off on another unsuspecting, uninformed person. Be a positive influence in the hobby and do the right thing.

Even though it would probably go back on the market, I might also suggest trying to get a refund from those you purchased it from. I will guess that you did purchase your items from Coach's Corner thinking you got a steal on an authentic item.
