I'm rooting for Favre all the way but I think the Pack will be too much on that night.

    Green Bay 34

    Minnesota 20
  • Brett Favre is playing football again????

  • Imagine, JUST IMAGINE, if Brett Favre goes down the field in the 4th Quarter to beat Green Bay. This game could go either way, Favre gets blown up or goes for 300, I really honestly do not know what to expect. The Vikes O-line has given Favre NO TIME all year, I do expect a TON of blitz packages I do know that... Screen passes will be the key to this game for the Vikings.

actually the real key for this game is AP vs the Packers Defense.

if AP goes all-day its all over.

having watched favre play in numerous emotional games for him (ie payback, i will show you type games) other than the oakland game, if the game is on his shoulders the balls will be sailing high and wide.

Favre will make his way into the history books again....with 4 fumbles to tie the all-time record.

There is a lot of hype about this game. Is there some kind of back story here?

With the Packers' run defense, I'm worried about AP getting 200 yards on the ground. It's going to be very strange to see Favre in purple against the Packers. I really hoped this day would never come.

I'm rooting for the GB defense for the purposes of hoping to see Favre have a lousy game...

My prediction/hope is that Rodgers really chokes. Hopefully it's a good game...

I hate to sound like a rube but I'm actually a little nervous! But also excited. Oh, looks like time to crack a beer open.

That PI call in the end zone at the end of the first half was worse than rotting garbage in the sun. Together with the crappy call of "roughing" against Brady yesterday, I have to think there are a set of "Jordan rules" developing for the NFL's golden boy QBs.

What a horribly bad call. These refs should be fined.

looked to me like the DB hooked the receiver with his right hand, pulling the receiver back/stopping his momentum and catapulted himself forward to intercept the pass. I'm not a Favre fan, but that was a good call IMO.

Wow. You either saw a different angle than I saw or I'm going blind. I saw nothing. I saw a receiver quickly turning around because it was a bad pass behind the receiver. If that's a scrub QB I don't think that flag is thrown. There is a growing "Jordan rules" in the NFL. They want their Golden Boy QBs -- Favre, Brady, the Mannings et al -- to star. I'm becoming convinced.

we will agree to disagree on that call.

And Brady's injury last year is making the pocket look like an NBA court as far as foul calls go. Someone like Manu Ginobli could be a superstar as an NFL quarterback. He'd flop at least ten roughing penalties each game.

I'm not exactly impartial, but I agree with Barndog's assessment. image

Putting your hands on a receiver is fine in my book, but when you twist him around so he can't make the play, that's pass interference.

Edited to add... It'll be a cold day in hell before the Vikes get babied by the refs. Ever since Randy Moss squirted the referee with a water bottle, the Vikings haven been on their excrement list.

The receiver away from the ball was tackled on that play so it's first and goal with no INT either way. Two flags were thrown.

I didn't see a grab. I saw a bad pass (yes, Saint Brett can throw those) and I saw a receiver twist backward because the throw was behind him.

Dammit, Packers. The Pack's receiver dropped the ball on 4th in the end zone because Favre is so great...

I don't know why anyone would bad mouth Favre after the career he has had. And he is still doing it. I really liked the interview after the game. She kept trying to get Brett to say things to fire up the press and fans and he wouldn't do it. He has some class.
