Very happy with the results overall, especially the '73s. I need to go through another stack of those for grading candidates. The '79s were brutal and all over the board however. Not sure what's up with the miscut on the Ozzie RC I pulled from the vending rip. I guess I'll be subbing that one again. Here's a scan of the raw Ozzie:

Thanks guys. It just goes to show, that between the B/S/T and the group rips here, there are quality raw cards to be found.

Exactly! I had a similar result with a Fergie Jenkins RC on my last sub. Both are going back again.

I don't remember how far OC it was, but it wasn't miscut. Ditto for my Jenkins RC.

Okay, very nice '73s. Here's a question I've asked several times with no confirmation. Does anyone remember the '73 Football cards being used in some type of board game. I remember my brother having these cards and there was some type of plastice game they went into, etc. Anyone?

There was a game called "Pro Draft" that included 1974's. It even had some variation cards not included in the regular set. Some of the players featured on "All-Pro" cards and some on horizontals in the regular issue had basic design verticals created for the game. I don't know if the game debuted with 1974 cards or featured '73's one year earlier. The "Pro Draft" topic pops up on this forum from time to time.

About that game...Each player drated received a randomly selected value card. I don't recall the exact point scale, but 0 was the lowest. Each card had a small right up, with the higher value cards getting the most favorable praise; the less valuable, the least. One card was worth 0 points (woe to he who picks that one!) and the caption said, simply, "ZERO!" This may have been a Ryan Leaf foreshadowing. However, the value card that I found the most amusing was one that said, "Refuses to play on Sundays." I think it was worth 5 points. (MNF must have been taken into consideration!)

Imagine an NFL player who refuses to play on Sunday. I wish Tony Romo would adopt such a policy.

LOL about Romo. I'm going to the Cowboys game at Arrowhead vs. the Chiefs this weekend. Let's hope that if he does show up that he has his head in the game this week.

I've never heard of the game cards before. I take it that they are relatively scarce? Do they carry much of a premium over the comparable regular Topps issue?

I know that they are scarce, but I don't know if they have much value. Anyone out there know?

Congrats on the great cards and enjoy the game at Arrowhead.
