Can you please explain the difference between cards listed as SP Foil versus just SP? thanks.

Not all cards were printed in with foil layer cards on top. Example I am thinking of is 1993 SP Football. The first couple dozen cards are condition sensitive foil. The rest aren't.

Assuming you are talking about Upper Deck, yes, typically there is a subset (usually rookies) that are printed with foil board. Otherwise, SP normally means Short Print.
