Incredible farthing off Ebay........

I realize I'm very new to the series, but I have never seen a farthing as beautiful as this one; let alone owned one.
I bought it from an English seller who wasn't even sure whether it was a mint state or proof striking.
I have high hopes that it is proof-the denticles and some areas of the surfaces seem to indicate that it is,
and that the coin will pass PCGS muster for a Proof 65. I really believe it has potential for a 66 but I
do tend to get carried away some times
This is one time that the phrase "photos don't do the coin justice" really means something. I got the color
OK but the brilliant iridescence simply eluded me.
The reverse is just about as nice but I'm not happy at all with the pictures I've gotten so far; so I'll post it later.

Yes, there ARE some real bargains and nice raw coins to be had on ebay. A lot of people knock it, but patience can pay off.
Well done!
World Collection
British Collection
German States Collection
And I appreciate your comment JCM, knowing that you have a deep knowledge of the series.
I'll post the grade when I get it.....

Here's one of the same type:

You can also see the flaw to the right of the A in Britannia in that one as well.
Lovely coin BTW.
