    Reselling?
    Now that you ask, yes.

    Value of the Wakefield?
    Probably $600-$750
It is really nice, exhibits nice use and shows some discoloration of the right shoulder/sleeve area. He must use some walming balm on pictching days. Jackie Robinson Patch is a plus too.

What a nice haul!! That would make for a fun bunch of jerseys to outfit a softball team in. Would look cool. I used to play ball in a Juan Gonzalez game used Puerto Rico jersey, and now wear a Frank Francisco game used Rangers jersey from time to time.

NO, NO, NO!!!! MLB game worns are not for play time! That is major league dirt and grime, not beer stains from Joey in Right Field!
Although a writer here in Boston, Steve Buckley, has an Old Time Baseball Game every year in August that draws some X-Major Leaguers and College Prospects such as Carlos Pena when he was at Northeastern. They wear the wool, throwback style jerseys including the Negro Leagues. Same thing, different quality jerseys.

    Found a couple Pesky pics:

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the Pesky really GU? I was under the impression the last two numbers on the tag were the year...am I missing something? The Wakefield has a year tag for instance - the Pesky looks like a nice authentic jersey.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

If I remember correctly, that tag on the Pesky (I'd love to have that jersey!) refers to the jersey # (6), size (44) and the year (2008). That does look like a legit g/u jersey. You can also confirm the jersey by looking at the wash tag number.

    *Edited for clarification*
    Looking for Carl Willey items.

Correct, 0062 wash code #. Team issued at the very least, game used? Not too likely at 89 years old. Remember his # was retired last year, this may have been for some on field ceremony etc.

    From wikipedia:
On September 23, 2008, the Red Sox announced that they would retire the No. 6 Pesky wore as a player to mark his 89th birthday and his long years of service to the club. (Although he still suits up in No. 6, Pesky wore No. 22 as the team's manager in the 1960s, and 35 as a coach from 1975-80.) [2] Pesky's is the sixth number retired by the Red Sox; his number retired was the 1st to break the Red Sox's code to have a number retired: being in the Baseball Hall of Fame and having spent at least 10 years with the Red Sox (Pesky wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame).[3] On September 28, 2008, his number was officially retired in a ceremony at Fenway Park

    This being the key phrase:
(Although he still suits up in No. 6...)

In fact the Pesky strip tag matches the David Ortiz, Jackie Robinson day #42 jersey. The Ortiz is authenticated my MLB as being game worn.
    Ortiz tag is 34 54 08

The Schilling Japan jersey also with MLB authentication reads:
    38 52 08

Both also have the 0062 wash code tags.

Sorry but very little of the stuff ever saw 2010 in my posession. In fact the couple pieces that did make it to 2010 were gone before spring in April. Thanks for your interest.

Hey, thanks for the pics. I see Saberhagen gu stuff every now and then...and it does really seem to go that high. Would like to start a decent collection sometime. Saberhagen, the greatest every other year pitcher ever!

Does anyone else remember the Saberhagen shuttle? I think it was only a local (state) commerical thing.

If you dont mind I am going to save your images for reference.

    Clear Skies,
