<< <i>Congrats. I'm sure your dad is happy that you're looking forward to his death. >>
Nice cards, though. My dad collected in the early-mid 60s, but then a bad case of dirty hippie set in and that was it for cards.

Yes, well loved for sure. I'm sure you had a blast looking at them with your Dad. Thanks for sharing
That is a great looking collection, but I hope you have a very looooong wait to get them!
It still kills me when my Dad talks about throwing away shoe boxes away full of the "cards that looked like color TVs"... ugh.
<< <i>Wish my father knew what cards were.... >>
Heck, I just wish I had a father!
also had another question maybe you guys can help with. Being inexperience in getting an auto, my father and i are going to a card show where yogi berra will be signing. I know autos are supposed to be valuable, but would getting these old cards signed be the right decision? would it devalue the card in any way or deteriorate from the card? any help is appreciated....thanks..
<< <i>oh man we had a blast today...it has been a long time since we did this...years....i brought along the beckett and we had some great fun looking them up and organizing...we found a lot of 59 topps as you can see...and we decided to collect the set...almost halfway there...

Years ago, you would be taking the value away from the card by signing it, but today, it is a great thing, especially autographed rookie cards. Of course having an old autograph from back in the day on a card would be awesome, but having them sign it now would be the next best thing. Good right ahead as it is very desirable to have vintage cards signed, but try to stick with RC but other cards are good too.
Again, great collection you got there and hope you and your father have lots of fun with them. By the way, may I ask when and where will Berra be signing?
Congrats on your future collection addition!!
Never will this collection be sold or traded...growing up ive always admired the cards, and know someday they will go to my boy...and hopefully his....even today my father taught me about some of the players...Willie Davis for instance..who he believed to be the fastest man in baseball...and how he could obtain top speed in a few steps...they are great cards and have many memories...
CDsNuts... no words can express your disfunction...but thanks for being the forum jerk...someone has to do it....
No one said he had to die for me to obtain the collection...I will actually get the collection well before he dies...so that i can share them with my son...he's just not old enough to appreciate cards...
Too bad its not in NY
Yeah man I don't blame you, I would never sell anything in that collection, it has too many memories.
