    Box 1

    1 foil mini
    5 black minis
    20 regular minis
(packs with black or foil minis also had a regular mini)

1 auto - Ken Griffey Sr.
2 GU - Palmer and Thome
    2 inserts - 1 Animal Series - 1 Citizen OF The Day

10 of those stupid 20th anniversary cards - not good to include so damn many of those in a 5 card pack. Takes away getting a real card from the set since they count as 1 of the cards. Only get 100 cards in a box and having 10 of them be those pieces of crap is pathetic.

    Ok rant over

Great looking product, how does it compare to lets say...A&G?

Too bad these won't be produced in the future...or at least a modified version with no MLB license.

Sweet looking Daisuke card....are there parallel versions? Auto's?

these cards do look very nice - box 2 was nicer than the first - scans coming up

Haven't looked at the checklist yet cause I kind of like being surprised as I rip them. Although I did see a Dice-K GU card on ebay during my daily search yesterday.

This is definitely UD's version of A & G. They have a bit of the upper hand at the moment since this is the first release, there's a lot more stars that had been spread out over AG's 4 years all in one. Cheaper than AG and 1 auto per box vs 1 every 2 or 3 with AG.
Not a huge Upper Deck fan since I grew up with Topps and remain loyal but these cards get a big thumbs up

    box 2:

    same mini spread

    1 foil
    5 black
    20 reg

and 1 mini printing plate - Johnny "get out of here" Bench

    1 dude auto
    2 GU
    1 Citizen Of The Day

and my little rant about the 20th anniversary set must have been heard - still got 10 of them but 3 good ones image

Joe Alexander auto looks like it was signed during one of his bull riding runs. Either that or he's 103 years old

My three boxes from Blowout just came. I can't complain, since I got them at the presale price, but I certainly didn't pull anything mind-blowing. Not even a night sky easter egg card, which I was kind of hoping for. Oh well. That said, I'm really liking these cards - I actually prefer the art style to A&G. I'm going to buy more, but maybe blasters...I like the bugs, but I don't know if they're worth the difference between hobby and retail prices.

It depends what you mean by "complete." To get everything including a set of autos, bug cards, and Magician back minis, would be tough. But the base set and a set of minis is around the same difficulty as Ginter, probably.

Ok, I'm definitely doing the surfer autos. I've been waiting for something like this for awhile! Andy Irons had a card in Ginter, but nothing since. This'll be fun!!

Hey guys - sorry 'bout the late reply.

Got 'em at local "small-town" Wal-Mart (not a supercenter) - they were running an in-store special on collectibles (discount taken at the register). I was surprised when they rang up that way also.

Our WM usually has all the new blaster boxes......also, a couple times, have seen some "vending boxes" (1987) and some "factory sets" with bonus cards.

I've pegged the approximate time when the lady usually arrives so I can see what new stuff she unpacks....interesting, as all different "brands" arrive in like 3 huge generic brown boxes - even the pokemon, webkins, and dnd crap is in there too!

I rechecked this morning, and as of 10:00am today, there were no other Goodwin boxes on the shelf.

Cool lookin' cards - I like the 20 year review inserts - wonder what the insert will look like for the advent of the internet and online pornimage

I just ripped four blasters from Target, and they were HORRIBLE. One GU card (Michael Beasley), no autos, no easter eggs, no citizens of the day or century, no animals...four black minis, THREE base SPs (one of which was a duplicate!) and ONE SSP. THREE base SPs out of FORTY EIGHT packs. And two of my minis were miscut. Ugh. I'm going to write Upper Deck an email. Anyway, if I were to buy more of this set it would definitely be in hobby box form.
